About the Event
Jo Harrop has firmly established herself as one of the most unmistakable voices in British jazz.
County Durham-born Jo first cut her teeth as a session singer working with a host of iconic artists including Neil Diamond, Rod Stewart and Gloria Gaynor. Since those early musical experiences, she has performed at Royal Albert Hall and Ronnie Scott’s, and in 2023 won “Jazz Album of the Year” at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards for When Winter Turns to Spring. After moving to London, Jo has grown in stature, not just as a vocalist, but also as a song writer which is something that has been increasingly important to her. In 2023 she recorded her album, The Path of a Tear, in America, and played prestigious gigs in New York and San Francisco.
“Few artists can convey the depth of emotion Harrop evokes every time she opens her heart to sing. Anyone who hears her music…
