About the Event
Popular local trombonist and bandleader Dave Jago has a rich and varied background in music, ranging from trad jazz to Happy End- Britain's own Liberation Music Orchestra. Anyone who has heard Dave's own groups like Timeline or Bombay Bop will know that he has an eclectic, adventurous taste and hears jazz possibilities in material that others would pass by. For today's gig, we are very pleased that he has accepted the JCUK's invitation to perform an afternoon of his own compositions. In a new quintet, he's joined by Mick Sagrott (guitar), Tony Gooderham (keys), Simon Wood (bass), and Ben Floyd (drums).
