About the Event
Geoff Warren: A prominent exponent of jazz, contemporary music and ethnic crossover, Geoff Warren is a music graduate from London University who studied flute with Derek Honner of the Royal Academy of Music. He started his jazz career as flautist/saxophonist in the ranks of Graham Collier's band with whom he played at major music festivals in Europe and Asia, working alongside famous musicians on the British jazz scene such as John Surman, Kenny Wheeler, Harry Beckett, John Marshall and Roy Babbington. In the late 80's he moved to Italy, where he teaches flute, composes, and leads his own groups. For over a decade, he has had a close relationship with Trevor Taylor, who has brought him back to England quite regularly, and released his records on the FMR label.
