THE 100 CLUB EXHIBITION

IN-CENTRE EXHIBITION

In addition to the great array of projects conducted for our 'Jazz at The 100 Club' National Lottery Heritage Fund grant, our Trustees felt that our premises offered us the opportunity to create a celebratory representation of the famous London music venue. So it was decided to do so, and by employing a  professional designer - and contacting the Director of The 100 Club Jeff Horton (1990 - 2020) - we were able to transform the south end of our department into something very close (but on a more limited spatial scale) to the 100 Club as it looks today.

Painted in the club's iconic red with original events posters and portraits of central performers around the walls, and a bandstand located at its centre a convincing representation of the club will be the first thing seen by visitors to our department and will also furnish the perfect performance space for our visiting musicians.

THANK YOU HANNAH!

The Jazz Centre UK extends a huge thank you to Hannah Mumford who lead the refresh of our Centre for 2021 along with Digby Fairweather (our artistic director) and Mark Kass (our CEO).

Within this project, Hannah designed and curated for The 100 Club exhibition. Hannah's work has brought our Jazz Centre to a whole new level with interactive digital displays, new captivating themes, exciting new exhibits and much, much more.

These renovations would not have been possible without Hannah's excellent work and we cannot wait for you to see what she has put in place!
