In the 1930s, the Bobcats were a hot subset of the Bob Crosby Orchestra. In this 1951 reunion they perform eight numbers, including “Who’s Sorry Now?” “Lazy Mood,” and “Panama.” Another all-star band led by the ever-charming Jack Teagarden performs “Basin Street Blues,” “Wolverine Blues,” “Rocking Chair,” “Dark Eyes,” “Georgia on My Mind,” and more. Jack Teagarden and the Bobcats are at their best. Especially excellent is a version of “Big Noise from Winnetka”, featuring Ray Bauduc and Bob Haggart.
